Whitburn Masters
Whitburn NewsThe Whitburn masters finals day was held on the 7th November in Coppies, Armadale.  The 4 players that were through to the finals day were, the whitburn player ot the year Jim Wilson, The Cowboy Stevie Moir, The Chemist Alan Kerr and the rank outsider (according to the odds) Ian Quigley.  The semi final draw was carried out by Garry Brown, which saw Jim Wilson facing off against Stevie Moir on table 1 and Alan Kerr facing off against Ian Quigley.  First to book his spot in the final was Jim Wilson with a comprhensive 9-4 victory over the Cowboy.  His opponent in the final would be The rank outside Ian Quigley who beat The Chemist in a marathon match, coming from 8-5 down, to win 9-8.  The final kicked off around 8pm.  Jim Wilson started steady and went into a quick 2-0 lead only for Ian to fight back to take a 5-2 lead then a 6-4 lead.  The break seemed to come at a bad time for Ian, who was gathering up quite a momentum, as he didnt win another frame after that and Jim went on to take the final 10-6!!!!!

Well done to all who participated in this years Whitburn Masters tounament, especially the final 4.  Big congrats to the eventual winner Jim Wilson!!!!

Heres to next year being an even greater success.

NewsThe Scottish Pool Association has teamed up with Rileys, the UK’s leading Pool and Snooker club operator.

This exciting new partnership will bring SPA members a package of special benefits.

On behalf of the SPA, Ross McInnes said ....
SPA Web Shop
Newsbuy.at/spa is a simple concept.
All online purchases made via the links on the buy.at/spa web pages generate commission for the Scottish Pool Association.
When you click a retailer's link on buy.at/spa you will be taken to that retailer's web site. They are responsible for your
order.
When you place your order funds are raised for the SPA.

So ideally SPA members will get into the way of using buy.at/spa as their first port of call for online purchases.
It's worth emphasizing that purchases are made at no extra cost to members than had they gone straight to the purchase site..... the only difference is that the SPA raise funds at the same time when you go through buy.at/spa.
The way to see commission rates is by clicking the A-Z tab on buy.at/spa.
